Katarina Wit was born on 3 December 1965, at Staaken (East Germany). As she seeks out new challenges she continually opens up new areas of work to herself, and has gained experience across a variety of fields including the fields of figure skating, production performing, presenting, acting, and writing. Katarina Witt ended her amateur career following the 1988 World Championships. For the following three years, she will co-headlining her debut tour as a professional in the US and Canada along with World Champion and Calgary Olympic Champion Brian Boitano. The show has been an enormous success and Madison Square Garden, New York sells out a show of figure skating for the very first time in the last 10 years. The third Olympic Games appearance in Lillehammer took place in 1994. In 1994, she tours across the US and Canada as star guest of the ice skating show "Stars on Ice" and "Champions in Ice" for a decade and she also competes in a variety of international professional events. She is the creative mind for many of the world-class ice show productions which she conceptualises, creates headlines, and then produces through her own production company, WITT. With WITT, the company set new standards for the production of skating-themed shows including "Divas On Ice", "Katarina & Friends" and "Enjoy The Sky".
